North Carolina Offshore Fishing

I also have an offshore fishing boat a 34′ Baha Catamaran twin diesel with A/C & heat for year-round fishing, this boat has a large cockpit with plenty of fishing room and wraps around seating in the cabin which makes for a comfortable ride out. Carolina Beach fishing for grouper is some of the best in the entire state of North Carolina for the offshore bottom off Carolina Beach is full of ledges and hard bottom ideal for the grouper habitat.
Trolling for dolphin, tuna, wahoo starts early in the spring of the year running through mid-June when the fall arrives, the king mackerel are plentiful along Carolina Beach making for some exciting fall fishing.

Update March 24, 2020, I am no longer running offshore fishing charters, the Baha Catamaran has been sold, I have also taken down my offshore fishing site web page. North Carolina offshore fishing commercially for King Mackerel is where I gained a lot of my fishing skills and experience I spent over ten years trolling for King Mackerel in a 29′ Cabin C-Hawk. I bought this boat brand new just the straight hull, I hired Tom owner of  Demann Marine Power to completely finish the boat out with a  Cummins 315 HP Diamond Series Diesel Motor, new transmission, and all the rigging. There were no expenses spared in the electronics and equipment for this boat was set up to commercial fish offshore for King Mackerel. The 29′ C-Hawk Cabin had a large deck for a 29′ boat, my fish box would hold 1600 lbs. of King Mackerel which was a heavy load for this boat. The local commercial fisherman in the Carolina Beach yacht basin such as Danny Hooks, Fred Holland, Carl Snow, Buddy Severt, taught me really what was going on, and to fish for kings as a fleet.

Those days and nights spent offshore taught me a lot about myself, and the responsibility of being a Captain for commercial fishing is a dangerous job. I can honestly say that fishing offshore right at the break of sunrise is one of the most beautiful things, one can experience. Maybe one day I will be able to afford another offshore boat but for now, I am happy fishing my 20′ Pathfinder Bay boat for Red Drum, Flounder, and Speckled Trout.

I do still enjoying fishing offshore with my neighbor Dan Bowman, on the Fishing Coalition with Capt. Jason White. Hope you enjoy the video.
