Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

Cape Fear Guide red drum fishing is an experience that is becoming really popular with families an anglers these live bait charters are mainly run in the creeks next to Bald Head Island & Buzzard Bay.The bite seems to be improving this week with some of the red drum measuring over the slot limit of 18″ to 27″. Most of the charters just can’t wait to come back next year, children seem to really enjoy the time spent catching the live bait,for I let them get involved in putting the bait in the live well,keeping them happy makes for a successful charter.These photos really show why Capt.Mike has been so busy this season,his is putting his clients on the fish!

NC inshore fishing is back to normal with the arrival of the finger mullet here at Carolina Beach,NC the red drum & speckle trout are biting again,they are not on fire yet,but we are catching fish ! Today July 7TH we landed a 29 1/2 ” red drum which was over the slot size limit,landed 3 other red drum which were in the slot limit really hard fighting reds ! Lucky Molly also landed a 3lb. speckle trout while fishing with the Cape Fear Guide.
