Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

Red Drum are fighting really hard, for their size, now since the night time air tempertures have fallen,water is beginning to clear,bite is on the falling tide.
King Mackerel are biting right off Carolina Beach,a 34 lb. fish was caught today just south of the inlet !

Cape Fear river yielded some slot size red drum this morning on my half day charter.Jeremy Hyatt from Leicester,N.C. chartered the boat this morning,everyone onboard caught their first red drum.Tropical storm Hannah did not hurt the red drum bite at all.I did notice the tides are not falling as much as normal still some flooding waters inshore.
