Cape Fear Guide reports yesterday’s fishing charter at Bald Island Island was put on a two hour delay because of the severe thunder storms,0nce the storm passed, the sun came out it actually became a beautiful day.The passing of the thunder storms must have turned the red drum bite on the first two cast  yielded slot size red fish.Weather here in the Cape Fear Region has really been unsettle due to all the thunder storms coming up from the south. Rainy weather at Carolina Beach,N.C. this morning hopefully the weekend will be sunny, with temperatures in the low 70’s just great for fishing.

Kevin holding red drum

Buzzard Bay fishing yesterday was slow, I fished hard for 5 hours only landing three slot size red drum.Thunder storms and heavy rains stayed off in the distant, making for a really nice day on the water until 4:30 PM then rain moved in, so we headed in.The Cape Fear Region has been getting a lot of rain for the past several weeks, fronts seem to be moving through, fluctuating tempertures, just don’t know why the bite is off.Hopefully the weather will settle down, with the fall fishing will getting back to normal.
