Buzzard Bay Fishing

Friday, September 23rd, 2011

Kevin holding red drum

Buzzard Bay fishing yesterday was slow, I fished hard for 5 hours only landing three slot size red drum.Thunder storms and heavy rains stayed off in the distant, making for a really nice day on the water until 4:30 PM then rain moved in, so we headed in.The Cape Fear Region has been getting a lot of rain for the past several weeks, fronts seem to be moving through, fluctuating tempertures, just don’t know why the bite is off.Hopefully the weather will settle down, with the fall fishing will getting back to normal.

N.C. Fall Fishing

Sunday, September 4th, 2011

First Red Drum

NC fall fishing has started the arrival of the large schools of finger mullet moving along the waterways, creeks is a sure sign the fall is fast approaching. Catching bait is an experience that most of my clients say they really enjoy seeing how the finger mullet are netted.Yesterdays first stop produced a 20 1/2 inch red drum which my clients asked me to releaese after a quick photo. Now is the time to come to N.C coast to enjoy the great fall weather & fishing.

Carolina Beach,N.C. had very little damage from hurricane Irene, which I am really thankful for,I have heard that some of the towns further up the coast had quite signficant losses.

Carolina Beach,N.C. is having some really great weather now come visit the Cape Fear Guide, just give me a call at 910-619-0928 to set up your inshore fishing charter.

I am open all this week give me a call, lets go fishing in Buzzard Bay !  910-619-0928
