Inshore July Fishing 2015

Sunday, July 12th, 2015

Inshore fishing for July 2015 seems to be as tough as it gets, water and air temperatures are high, fish are just plain hard to find. Most charters are landing a few flounders, speckle trout, and red drum but I am working really hard to locate these fish. One of the most rewarding aspects I have had lately has been taking  children  fishing for the first time, the anticipation for a young child catching his or her first fish really does light up their face. One fish that has been fairly easy to find is the croaker, this is an ideal fish for a young angler to learn to catch. The backwater creeks around Bald head Island are calm and hold plenty of fish for the young anglers to enjoy.

Speckle trout are falling for live bait in the backwaters of the Cape Fear River, some really large fish have been caught this week.
