Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

Spring time is officially here now in North Carolina,with temperatures reaching the 70 degree mark you may want to consider fishing a place called Pitch Kettle Creek on the Neuse river for the shad are running now ! My father Bobby Dennis and Curtis Elks along with Greg Dennis owner of the Reel Outdoors in Emerald Isle have been enjoying some great light tackle action this past week. Curtis Elks caught a 3lb. striped bass the week prior,while fishing for shad at Pitch Kettle creek.
Tackle used light spinning gear, 8 lb. test line,small grubs.
