Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

Trent Peacock landed a nice king mackerel this morning slow trolling with live menhaden,fishing about 2 miles off Carolina Beach,N.C.,with Capt.Mike Dennis.Weather was really nice this morning,bait was easy to catch just a great day to be out on the water.

I fished yesterday, weather conditions were near perfect very light winds,not to hot and carolina blue skies,just a beautiful day to be out on the water.
The Cape Fear River along the rock wall,just past Fort Fisher,was my starting point for the last two days,catching flounder,speckle trout,and bluefish,fishing with small menhaden on Carolina rigs has proven to be the best bait this week.Bill Neely fished yesterday with me catching a 3lb. speckle trout,this fish really gave him a good fight,Bill stated that catching that speckle trout just made his day !
