Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

Boston Mackerel were biting just about 1/2 mile off New River Inlet on Monday of this week,along with some two and three pound spanish mackerel, Joe Albea was filming this week for the Carolina Journal TV show reporting lot’s of action on diamond jigs early in the morning.
These fish will be moving south this upcoming week arriving at the Liberty Ship for some great light tackle action,spanish mackerel have been biting all week along with some good size blue fish.
Black drum are still biting on falling tides in the inlets, and have started to bite some in Snow’s Cut,with the arrival of the small menhaden flowing through the river the flounder bite should pick up this upcoming week.
Chuck Davis from Pinehurst,N.C. hired Capt.Mike,to do and onboard fishing seminar on his new Carolina Skiff on Friday,this is one of the best ways for a new boat owner to learn how to fish his own boat.
