Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

Today started out slow, bait was a little hard to get,tide was up high but had already started falling,managed to fall in throwing the cast net this morning,that really cooled me off ! Finally managed to get enough bait to fish with,just had to wait for the tide to start back rising for the fish to bite,finally ended the day up with a limit of red drum,fished with a great bunch of men that made the day really enjoyable. 

August 7th,2008 my charter today did not bother to call or inform me that they were not going to show up !
I waited for over an hour then called a  Bill Neely a friend of mine and asked him if he wanted to fish this morning,he came right over,we fished right here at Carolina Beach Inlet for flounder,I caught a 18′ flounder at the 2nd spot we stopped. Tried a few more holes,then moved to Snow’s Cut  and Bill hooked up with a over the slot red drum,the fish really gave him a good fight.
