Cape Fear Guide Fishing Report

I fished today at Southport,winds were blowing hard out of the Northeast at Carolina Beach,N.C. making it to rough to fish my beach. So I ran down the river to fish Southport, managed to catch a few Spanish Mackerel,first thing in the morning, but bite was slow,then went to live baiting menhaden,action picked up when a Hammer Head Shark hit the live bait rod ! Darren Raffel fought the shark for about 45 minutes,we boated the shark took a few pictures then  released the shark.

Spanish mackerel bite was great today I fished right around the sea buoy,at Carolina Beach,N.C. today,spanish bite was constant all morning ! Charter was amazed at the number of fish they were catching !
